The next General Membership Meeting of the Auxiliary will be held at 7 pm, October 6, 2026 at the hall. Dinner is served at 6 PM.

• Operation We Care-sends “CARE” packages to deployed active-duty military

  • Meets 2nd Wednesday of the month at Fort Knox Storage 2649 N. Causeway Blvd.  Mandeville at 8:00 am 

  • October 14th is next scheduled packing day

  • September volunteers sent 48 packages

  • Need donations of snack size items to include in boxes

  • Contact Brenda Ogden, 985-705-1235, if you are a member of churches, local schools, and any other clubs you may be involved in that would be willing to sponsor a drive for suitable items.

• Fund Raising and Legion Support Activities

  • We have two sources of income

    • Auxiliary raffles baked goods and seasonal decorations at every Bingo Game

    • The Auxiliary receives 1/3 of the profit generated by the kitchen

  • Please contact Brenda Ogden, 985-705-1235, if you wish to contribute a baked good for either Wednesday or Friday Bingo raffle

  • Veterans Breakfast, Saturday, October 10th. Please come to help set-up, cook, or cleanup. 7 am-11 am. Breakfast is at 9 am

  • Kitchen help needed for every Bingo session. Please contact Scott or Brenda if you can help

  • The Auxiliary has a Give Butter Account to allow monetary donations via Venmo, PayPal, Credit Card and Apple Pay. Please see QR Code below

• Special Needs Holiday Parties

  • Halloween-Saturday, October 17th, 9:30 am-1:00 pm

    • Volunteers needed to set-up and assist at activity stations and set-up and clean-up

    • Candy Donations Needed-if you can donate a bag of Halloween candy (no hard candy please), please get it to the office or bring it to the October meeting

  • Christmas Party, Thursday, December 3rd, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Auxiliary Special Halloween Party Needs

On Saturday, October 17 the Auxiliary members will hold the Annual Halloween Party for Disabled Adults. It is a fun filled morning with activities, lunch and Halloween goodie bags.

We need help:  1) Halloween Candy (drop off at the American Legion) during business hours or Bingo

                           2) Volunteers to assist with the party plan to be at the Legion for 9 a.m.

                           3) Help setting up the party and fixing goodie bags for the participants.
