The next General Membership Meeting of the Auxiliary will be held at 7 pm, July 1st at the hall. Dinner is served at 6 PM.
Next month, the Auxiliary will begin collecting membership dues for 2026. If you have not yet paid your dues for the 2025 year, please pay as soon as possible. Your dues have to be up to date for the previous year prior to paying for the next year. If you would like to pay your dues for 2026 and are not concerned about continuous membership, you may pay just for 2026. Dues for the Auxiliary are $36.00 and $9.00 for junior members. For those of you who are paid members, please come to our meetings. Membership helps support us financially but we need your help. We need ideas and help implementing those ideas.
Our Kitchen Staff needs help. Please contact Scott or Brenda to see how you can help!

Operation We Care is in need of names and addresses of deployed troops to receive packages. Please enter this information on the Operation We Care website: operationwecare.com. They are also in need of chicken in pouches, beef jerky and other snack size items. What we will provide is not enough. The Wreaths Across America Date is DECEMBER 13, 2025, at 11 am. Cut Off Date is November 1, 2025 to place last order for the year. If you are interested in honoring a veteran grave, please send a check to the Auxiliary at the legion’s address. The cost per wreath is $17, but any donation may be mailed to the Auxiliary and we combine all donations to purchase as many wreaths as possible. Please contact Pam Herty, 985-264-9980, if you have any questions about this program. Our drive for the 2025 Christmas ceremony started January 1st and we have sent our first donation to WAA for the December 2025 wreath ceremony. Our donation was enough to sponsor 270 wreaths during the two for one January period. In July Wreaths Across America is having a Giving in July Promotion during which we will contribute what we have collected so far. The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery currently has 3500 Veterans laid to rest. This cemetery has 15 sponsoring organizations at this time. Some are only able to donate 20 wreaths. We hope to help fill the gap as much as possible. The National American Legion Auxiliary has adopted this worthwhile program as well.

During each BINGO session, the Auxiliary raffles baked goods to help raise money for two Veteran Projects.
We provide Christmas gifts for the 130 Veterans in the Southeast Veterans’ War Home in Reserve, LA.
We also use the money to sponsor wreaths for veteran graves at the Southeast Veteran Cemetery in Slidell through Wreaths Across America.
The raffle proceeds are split between these two veteran support activities. If you can help us with donated baked goods, please contact Toni Blackstock at (979) 235-7182. The Auxiliary has set their goal again this year at 250 wreaths with the hope of exceeding this number
